New Balance Numeric 933 Andrew Reynolds Signature Skateboard Shoes - Men's 12.5 D
There comes a point where skate shoes stop being about how much "board feel" they have and start being about actually being functional and protecting your feet. Your skate shoe should not fold in half letting your feet take all the damage.
Andrew Reynolds has spent more than three decades doing things on a skateboard that most people's knees would politely decline. His first signature model with New Balance Numeric reflects the reality that skateboarding changes as you get older, even if you have no intention of stopping.
Some shoes make sense the moment you put them on.
The 933 pulls inspiration from New Balance's legendary 99X running line, pairing that familiar heritage runner DNA with the support, durability, and impact protection required of a modern skate shoe. This is also one of the few, if not the only, skate shoe to feature a shank in the sole. This stiffens up the back of the shoe while still allowing the front to flex the right amount. If you came up during the late 90s and early 2000s, you'll recognize the philosophy immediately. Protection matters. Comfort matters. Being able to walk the next day matters.
What makes the 933 interesting is what Reynolds left out. The support is there. The cushioning is there. The confidence-inspiring feel is there. But the oversized silhouettes, enormous tongues, and brick-like weight that defined part of that earlier era of skate shoes are gone.
This Grey/Black/Brown multicolor NM933MLT colorway known as "Castlerock Vintage Indigo" is offered here in a hard-to-find Men's 12.5, a size that doesn't tend to stay on shelves for long. This was one of the first 12.5 sizes released by New Balance Numeric and comes in a D width.
